Grand Forte Clothing is a brand developed to recognized all who carry a forte (skill) in the underground/street scene. We run by our simple slogan, “Always for the Skilled”. Any forte is recognized here at Grand Forte, from graffiti, skate, music and even to filming, you are recognized. We strive to push talent of the world’s current minds and motivate them to craft their skill and perfect it. We are the official motivators of your craft, live on.
Grand Forte was founded in the summer of 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah by Chris Le, Grand Forte is a clothing brand with the look of street influences. Chris Le, a notable hip-hop graphic designer and upcoming video director thought, “If people are into my artwork on CDs, print, and web. Why not throw them on some t-shirts?”. Chris Le was known for designing and directing videos for known artists and labels like The Game, Nas, Rick Ross, Christina Milian, Def Jam, Interscope, etc. He wanted to recognize others like himself who followed a passion and strive to perfect their craft and to do this, he would express it through his ideas in the Grand Forte brand. So Chris Le opened up the headquarters within the C-Le GFX studios in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah and til this day is branding the brand, Grand Forte.
Taj, his story is a little different. Taj accidently stumbled into Chris Le’s studio in downtown Salt Lake City not knowing what to expect. To his suprise, he discovered that it was a visual communications studio. Networking with Chris Le allowed him to build a relationship which then grew into a business partnership with Chris Le to startup Grand Forte Clothing. Things to know about Taj, he aint a DJ. We just like to call him “Dj Tech Support” in hopes of him becoming a DJ one day.
Its the year 2011, Grand Forte has grown in the past few years and still is continuing to grow. With a solid team, Jay Cartel (Marketing), Vincent Howard (Designer), Johnny Nguyen (Designer), Steven Cole (Sales), Lunar (Event Marketing), Ryan Mccardle (Designer), and Parker (Sales Rep) all contribute to the brand and help it grow even further.
